a new day
well my life has been one crazy ride for the past few weeks... and the scale is showing the effects.
weight = goal + 13.5
and i have to say, that really is the upper limit for me. i have GOT to stop this upward trend. i haven't been going to the gym, and i've been eating ice cream just about every day, oh and also i was traveling for 2 straight weeks which meant eating out 3 meals a day... not good.
so.
things i am going to try:
1. rewarding myself in non-food ways.
for example, if i lose weight in a week, i get to buy a new book. when i get down to goal + 5, i get a trip to my friend ann's shop, and get to buy one thing, whatever i want. when i get down to goal, i get a new pair of running shoes.
2. not eating after 8pm.
3. brushing my teeth after eating lunch to counteract that must-have-something-sweet urge.
4. back to the gym (or outside, now that it is getting warmer) 5 times a week.
5. recording my food intake and estimated calories.
my mom is doing a weight loss group thing and having good success. i don't think i am going to join her but she sets a good example. since i am living there now it is good because they cook pretty healthy dinners in general.
sound good? sounds good to me. stay tuned!
